Lack of equity is a foundational issue.

We have only recently realized that lack of equity, lack of justice including social and environmental justice, is connected...to EVERYTHING else.

When you are held back due to color, race, culture, sexual origin...or any aspect of you and your life that is in a sense un-chosen, yet cherished, this is debilitating and effects all aspects of your life's potential and of your self-worth.

When your access to education, living wage jobs with career paths, healthy food, clean air and water, exposure to culture, and access to safety, are all severely limited, how can you contribute to the world around you?

Social equity and environmental respect are inextricably linked.

WE ARE VALUABLE

Each of us is valuable, and each in our own way.  If we were all the same there would be no value to me knowing you and learning about your childhood, your country, your experiences. And there would be no value for you in learning from me.

Nature is full of diversity, and diversity means resiliency.
